It was once a former medieval trading center and a very famous princely state. The Maharajas continued to rule Jaisalmer absolutely until 1818 when it was made the Princely State of British. Royals have lost their rule, princely states don’t exist anymore but, the traditions of royal times are still intact in Jaisalmer. You can feel the seemingly timeless aura of Rajasthan’s culture and traditions once you reach this city of Jaisalmer. Itinerary:
Our journey begins in the evening at an assigned meeting place to take an overnight vehicle south-west from Delhi to The Golden City; Jaisalmer.

Arrive and check into your hotel. After a short break, we will visit the Golden Fort of Jaisalmer and Gadisar Lake. We will return to the hotel in the evening.

After breakfast and checkout from the hotel, we will drive to Sam, stopping to visit the haunted village of Kuldhara on the way. Arrive at Sam and check into your campsite. Enjoy delicious local food in your camp and rest for a while. Later get ready for a camel/jeep safari and enjoy the evening in the sand dunes of the Thar Desert.
In the evening, return to the campsite and enjoy folk dancing with your drinks and snacks.

Enjoy a sleep-in this morning and watch the sun rise over the desert. After breakfast, checkout from the campsite and drive back to Jaisalmer. Explore The Golden City with its beautifully intricate havelis, palaces and vibrant bustling markets.
In the evening, we will take an overnight vehicle back to Delhi.
