Chopta Chandrashila Trek
Description:
Get ready for the fascinating trek expedition to Chandrashila, the summit of Tungnath, which is prominently known as a famous tourist attraction for high altitude trek lovers. It is located at a height of about 4,000 meters above sea level. In winter, the trek in itself is special. The trail snaking through soft snow under the canopy of oak and rhododendron trees is almost dream-like. The Deoriatal lake is surrounded by snow, but looming over the lake is Mt Chaukhamba.
Itinerary:
We begin our trip tonight, taking an overnight bus from Delhi to Rishikesh; located in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Upon reaching Rishikesh, we will take a private vehicle to Chopta. Along the way, we will take breaks to freshen up and have breakfast.
At Chopta, we will check into our camp and in the evening, enjoy music and a bonfire, followed by dinner. Tonight we will stay overnight in tented accommodation.

This morning we begin early and after a big filling breakfast, we will leave for the Tungnath Chandrashila Trek. Tungnath is a steep trek with many steps due to the religious significance. After Tungnath, we have another 1km steep trek to reach Chandrashila. A good level of fitness is ideal.
Take some time to enjoy the view and take pictures. Later we will trek back to Chopta and enjoy the evening with a bonfire and music, followed by a delicious dinner at the camp.

Wake up early and enjoy a filling breakfast at the camp, then we will be leaving for Sari Village. Enjoy a 3km trek of the captivating and serene lake Devariyatal, which is situated on the top of the mountain with a view of Panch Pandva Mountains. Later trek back down to your vehicle and leave for Rishikesh. Reach Rishikesh and take an overnight bus back to Delhi.
